About

Mary Pool is an internationally experienced and qualified Speech Language Pathologist with 20 years’ experience. After graduating from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders, she earned her Master of Arts in Speech Language Pathology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Since then she has worked in clinical and school settings in the United States, England, Belgium, Vietnam, Japan, and China, and South Korea.

Her areas of interest include orofacial myofunctional disorders, action research, and community education, with emphases on multidisciplinary care, early identification, and parent engagement.
She is fueled by her passion for understanding the underlying causes of articulation disorders. She considers herself a 'forever student', eager to both build on her academic foundations in speech language pathology and orofacial myofunctional therapy, and stays in tune with the latest research and therapeutic approaches through continued coursework.

Mary believes balance is key to success—a tenet she lives out through her interests in yoga, cycling, and trying to grow plants.
